Dear Tech-Blog readers,
Do smartphones or tablets make people antisocial? I do believe technology, such as smartphones, social media, etc has been making people be less social. I have lost track of the number of times I've seen people in restaurants ignoring their table mates while they play with their phones and yes it does happened to me. It is unbelievably rude and antisocial as it can get when you would rather play with your phone instead of actually talk to the person sitting next to you.
I have seen parents ignoring their children for an entire meal. I've seen people on dates paying zero attention to each other while they make love to their phones. Of course it's antisocial! Put those phones away when you are out with friends or family.
Although there are certain things like apps for Facebook and other social networks that might encourage socialism, I think that for the most part smartphones could and do make people less social to others at home and could be lead anti socialism at work and in school there is less need to ask people if you can just ask your phone.

It goes without saying. We love our smartphones and tablets, and according to World Bank, Malaysia, with 140 per cent mobile penetration, is leading Indonesia, Thailand and even United States! Only Singapore and Vietnam in Southeast Asia have higher mobile penetration than Malaysia. Besides voice calls and SMS, the need to connect to the Internet is one of the key drivers for buying a smartphone.
So, based on my experience, and I believe most of people out there also faced this kind of issue, hence I do believe that even technologies is important to us in today's world, it still can bring disadvantages to our relationship to others.
Thanks.
