Just to share my opinion. I believe many of us have our own social network friend. But the friends in social network was not our real friend. We have about 300 friends in Facebook, 100 followers in Twitter and 200 followers in Instagram. This does not count the numbers that we follows back. We seems look like very popular when we have too many friends and followers in our social network. But, how about in our real world? Does all these people are our network in real life? And does we
really know all the people in our social network.? I would like to share my experience on this. One of my Facebook friends does not recognize me when we met at our friend's wedding. It was really funny since she have wish my birthday last year. But when I think back, she might do that because Facebook have birthday reminder and you can which anyone's birthday even you actually not remember them.

I have read one of the study conducted by Dr Reader and his team in which they have asked more than 200 people to fill in questionnaires about their online networking, asking for example how many online friends they had, how many of these were close friends and how many they had met face to face. The team found that although the sites allowed contact with hundreds of acquaintances, as with conventional friendship networks, people tend to have around five close friends. Ninety per cent of contacts whom the subjects regarded as close friends were people they had met face to face.
Here are some difference about social network friend and real life friends.
Social network friends are people you don’t really really know but you met them once at a conference, on a social networking site, on Twitter, or maybe you added them to your Facebook because they’re friends with someone you know. Social network friend is someone you know is available every time you see that little green dot next to their name, so you write them and say hello. But sometimes it’s possible to have an social network friend who you’ve never met before in real life, but who keeps you company when you’re writing a long paper or bored at work. You talk to each other at least every other day. You even have inside jokes and think about going out to visit them wherever they live, you know, to take things to the next step.
But, real life friends keep you company when they can, when they’re not busy with something else or watching a favorite television show. A social network friend is available whenever they have that promiscuous little green dot beside their name, but your real life friends have things to do and you don’t always know what they’re doing or when they’re busy. You can make plans with your real life friends for tea or brunch, and you can compliment them on their new haircut. Even if you talk to your real life friend online, you know they’re a real friend when they are ‘invisible’ and they will still talk to you.
With social network friends you can do things like play Candy Crush or watch your favorite television show together, chatting about everything that annoys you about the show. Besides, you always tell story to your social network friends about what you want to do or activities you have done previously. You always share anything with your social network friends because you know one of hundred of your social network friends will reply or comment on your story.
With real life friends, you can go out to galleries or to your favorite restaurant and do things together you both enjoy. It’s not fair to say that having social network friends or real life friends is better than the other, but there’s something irreplaceable about real, human contact.
